Josh Janssen: [00:00:00] Hello,
[00:00:08] Tommy Jackett: [00:00:08] happy Sunday and
[00:00:09] Josh Janssen: [00:00:09] welcome to screenplay. Sunday, the final episode for 2020,
[00:00:14] Mr. 97: [00:00:14] the finale as we like to call it in Chavez,
[00:00:20] Tommy Jackett: [00:00:20] JB,
[00:00:21] Josh Janssen: [00:00:21] JB, what is your Tommy is also here for vibe. Bring up how are you TJ?
[00:00:29] Tommy Jackett: [00:00:29] Yeah, I mean set the scene and, um, people won't speak because they're too worried that they'll ruin the dye for everyone, but I'm here and I'll be here all episode.
[00:00:37] Josh Janssen: [00:00:37] Right? Make sure you have fun. That's the main thing, uh, uh, JPEG. What is, what is your industry fact today?
[00:00:45] George Martin: [00:00:45] Yeah. Well, if you remember last week, I said I was scrapping them, but I do have one,
[00:00:51] Josh Janssen: [00:00:51] uh,
[00:00:53] George Martin: [00:00:53] cause I print them when you want, uh, yeah, exactly. Uh, on this day, 2019. Sasha Baron Cohen said that if Facebook existed in the 1930s, it would have run Hitler's ads on his solution to the Jewish Jewish problem in speech to anti defamation defamation league on it.
[00:01:13] Josh Janssen: [00:01:13] So this is less industry and more just sort of political, interesting
[00:01:17] George Martin: [00:01:17] political fact to finish off the season
[00:01:19] Mr. 97: [00:01:19] JV what's happening with Trump.
[00:01:21] George Martin: [00:01:21] Yeah. Trump not sure. I think he's just sticking around and just, you know, he's not budging. Unfortunately. Oh, sorry.
[00:01:30] Tommy Jackett: [00:01:30] One thing about Trump, he's been in more feature films in any of us here and I'm
[00:01:36] George Martin: [00:01:36] fricking he's the most impersonated man of all time.
[00:01:40] Josh Janssen: [00:01:40] good point. I'll be back. I think Huston.
[00:01:44] Mr. 97: [00:01:44] No, no, no way. Who's who's the dad. Who's the, um, who's this Elvis Presley.
[00:01:49] Josh Janssen: [00:01:49] No Presley,
[00:01:52] Mr. 97: [00:01:52] Elvis Presley is the most impersonated
[00:01:55] Josh Janssen: [00:01:55] you are out of control. You're out of human
[00:01:57] George Martin: [00:01:57] potentially.
[00:01:59] Mr. 97: [00:01:59] No, definitely. If you go to a costume dress, you can get Elvis at any costume dress up, I reckon,
[00:02:05] George Martin: [00:02:05] but whatever, as in like doing someone's voice, that's what I'm talking about.
[00:02:11] How many people have tried to do Trump's voice,
[00:02:13] Josh Janssen: [00:02:13] but that's what I'm saying. I think that there'd be more, I'll be back. References than any other.
[00:02:19] George Martin: [00:02:19] Yeah. That is one line. That's one
[00:02:21] Josh Janssen: [00:02:21] line. That's why it's so sticky. Isn't it. Okay. Yeah. Have you looked it up? Mason? What's the answer one?
[00:02:26] Mr. 97: [00:02:26] No walkers? No, because you needed
[00:02:29] Josh Janssen: [00:02:29] just type it in most impersonated celebrity.
[00:02:32] Okay. Oh, maybe Morgan Freeman.
[00:02:36] George Martin: [00:02:36] Uh, yeah, that's quite good.
[00:02:37] Mr. 97: [00:02:37] Marilyn Monroe.
[00:02:39] Josh Janssen: [00:02:39] What
[00:02:41] George Martin: [00:02:41] is that for? Dress-ups
[00:02:42] Tommy Jackett: [00:02:42] or actually.
[00:02:44] Mr. 97: [00:02:44] Give me. So this is the thing you need to clarify
[00:02:46] George Martin: [00:02:46] what yeah,
[00:02:48] Mr. 97: [00:02:48] the impersonation. So Elvis Presley is at the top then Christopher Walken and then Arnold Schwartzenegger and then and then Marilyn Monroe.
[00:02:59] Tommy Jackett: [00:02:59] some of the podcasts that has come up with this,
[00:03:02] Josh Janssen: [00:03:02] who is helper Chino. Painter
[00:03:07] Tommy Jackett: [00:03:07] actor
[00:03:07] Josh Janssen: [00:03:07] I'm sure. Is, is, was he involved in the Vatican? Did the roof or
[00:03:12] George Martin: [00:03:12] some welcome to all a movie fans listening?
[00:03:16] Josh Janssen: [00:03:16] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Was he a Ninja turtle? All right, so, so
[00:03:23] George Martin: [00:03:23] can I just make a quick announcement, Josh? Uh, it's quick.
[00:03:28] It's very quick. So episode 10 it's this is the finale of screenplay. Sunday is Bray is Bray around.
[00:03:36] Josh Janssen: [00:03:36] Yeah.
[00:03:37] George Martin: [00:03:37] She should be well, tell her to sit down for this news. Cause it's big news.
[00:03:41] Josh Janssen: [00:03:41] Okay. Right. She's not a call. Can you sit down?
[00:03:48] George Martin: [00:03:48] That's fine. We'll trust that you sat down, um, friend of the show, friend of the daily talk show, and I would say the official bookshop of the daily talk show and the official bookshop at big media company.
[00:04:00] Get the applause ready? I have sponsored screenplay Sunday, paying for the final draft.
[00:04:11] big. We've now broken even for the, for the show.
[00:04:14] Josh Janssen: [00:04:14] Are you going to mention that you shot
[00:04:17] George Martin: [00:04:17] the book
[00:04:18] Josh Janssen: [00:04:18] room, the book room at Barra.
[00:04:26] George Martin: [00:04:26] Thank you to our sponsors.
[00:04:27] Josh Janssen: [00:04:27] Thank you to the book room at Barra. It's my, it is my favorite bookshop in the world. In fact, yeah. Always loved going there when I'm in barn. Do
[00:04:36] Tommy Jackett: [00:04:36] we have done it, run dynamic ads backwards all the whole season.
[00:04:41] Josh Janssen: [00:04:41] We can do that. We will definitely do dynamic ads
[00:04:45] George Martin: [00:04:45] brought to you by the book room.
[00:04:47] Mr. 97: [00:04:47] Yeah. George, you can do the right. Yeah.
[00:04:49] George Martin: [00:04:49] I'll do the right dynamic ads. Um, so that's exciting. It's been,
[00:04:55] Josh Janssen: [00:04:55] it's going to be real fired up for that. I'm going to have a Christmas present this year. It's great. Um, alright. Uh, so you've written the script, Jamie. Well,
[00:05:09] George Martin: [00:05:09] I had a little bit of help. So a couple of weeks ago, uh, on the other podcast, the daily talk show we were talking about.
[00:05:17] Uh, do
[00:05:17] Josh Janssen: [00:05:17] you think there's anyone that listens to this?
[00:05:23] love the screenplay Sunday, but the daily talk to you? I don't know what they're talking about.
[00:05:29] Tommy Jackett: [00:05:29] Never know.
[00:05:30] George Martin: [00:05:30] Yeah. Lots of
[00:05:41] Josh Janssen: [00:05:41] Yeah. Yeah. Well,
[00:05:44] George Martin: [00:05:44] there was a guy that I've pranked called, called Finn Finn hops. Uh, he has, uh, I mean, I shouldn't be doing rates here, but he hasn't pottery company, perhaps pottery. I think it's called, um,
[00:05:57] Josh Janssen: [00:05:57] credit line style. You don't know the name. It's called
[00:06:00] Grace Peris: [00:06:00] NWA
[00:06:02] George Martin: [00:06:02] NWA confidence. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry, sorry.
[00:06:06] Fan. Hey, he contact apologize. I said he contact me. Hey man, can I write a script for screenplay Sunday? I was like, yeah, that's fine. Like, we've only got one episode left, so it's a finale, so, you know, go for it. And um, and he's like, okay, great. So he, he got riding and then I was sort of missing a bit messaging and being like, I mean, can we collaborate on it?
[00:06:30] Cause I can, I've got a few things I want to put in there. Um, and he's like, yeah, that's all good. No worries. So he sent me the script last night and I had a quick look over. It was great. It was really good. Um, I did cut out a fair chunk. It was so he sent me a, he sent me a 10 page script and the first long script.
[00:06:57] And the first five pages was Wendy and Dale dialogue. Wow.
[00:07:03] Josh Janssen: [00:07:03] It's big Wendy and dial fans,
[00:07:05] George Martin: [00:07:05] big Dow fan site. I've sort of put that a little bit to the side. I kept the, I kept the kind of idea of the story and I've added a few of my own things in. Um, but yeah, anyway, so, so sorry, Finn. It was really good. What I was thinking is maybe after this, we could do a quick 10 minute bonus app.
[00:07:28] Uh, of fins script
[00:07:30] Josh Janssen: [00:07:30] today and put it in the calendar,
[00:07:35] Tommy Jackett: [00:07:35] Georgia. Doesn't
[00:07:36] Josh Janssen: [00:07:36] become the final episode. Tommy, tell me, I'll let you jump in with this one. Sorry.
[00:07:42] George Martin: [00:07:42] I want to get to safe in script. That's fine.
[00:07:44] Josh Janssen: [00:07:44] This is, this is fin script as well. Fin scripts.
[00:07:47] George Martin: [00:07:47] Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. You take home once you say the comparison.
[00:07:51] Josh Janssen: [00:07:51] Alright, but can we maybe make it available online somewhere? This
[00:07:56] George Martin: [00:07:56] script?
[00:07:58] Josh Janssen: [00:07:58] What else? JBA, maybe you could do a rate. What about a, um, a Gronk squad raid? What about a zoom given your sort of excitement on the script? What about if you were to get a few? I'm just thinking what about next week?
[00:08:15] George Martin: [00:08:15] Oh, yeah.
[00:08:15] Yeah, we could do that. It's just a very funny, like shout, like acting challenge from nice and, and Grice. I think it'd
[00:08:21] Josh Janssen: [00:08:21] be hilarious.
[00:08:23] George Martin: [00:08:23] This, the chunks of dialogue a very long and complicated, so.
[00:08:26] Josh Janssen: [00:08:26] Okay. So they're really big words,
[00:08:28] Mr. 97: [00:08:28] big words,
[00:08:29] George Martin: [00:08:29] big words. Like there's some Shakespeare stuff in there. Oh yeah. But we're not going to get to hear it today because I've gotten rid of it.
[00:08:38] Okay. Now that's all right. That's a shame. I've kept it, kept it basic. Um, Anyway. So that's the, that's the idea it's doing it with the, Oh, should I tell you what it is?
[00:08:48] Josh Janssen: [00:08:48] Yeah. So, uh, Jamie, what is the title? Okay. What are we going to say? Mason, who's doing what I think what normally happens is we start with the title.
[00:08:57] Yes. Yeah.
[00:08:58] Mr. 97: [00:08:58] I was doing premiere episode. I
[00:09:00] George Martin: [00:09:00] forgot that benchmark.
[00:09:01] Josh Janssen: [00:09:01] Yeah.
[00:09:02] George Martin: [00:09:02] So the title is doing it with the Duggins finale. Written by fin perhaps and GB. And can I just say he had already done that title page before I even touched it? So thank you, Finn.
[00:09:13] Josh Janssen: [00:09:13] Oh, that's nice. Yeah, the, um, they also GB, you sent me through a sound effect.
[00:09:18] If you actually look back when you were talking. Initially there was a moment where I jumped out of my skin actually visually, um, jumped and it was because, um, I'd accidentally plied the sound effect very loud in my headphones. But did you, did you want to be in charge of the sound effect or do you want me to be.
[00:09:35] George Martin: [00:09:35] Uh, you can, I think it'd be funnier if you have to do that.
[00:09:39] Josh Janssen: [00:09:39] Okay. Sure.
[00:09:40] George Martin: [00:09:40] All right.
[00:09:40] Josh Janssen: [00:09:40] Um, and so doing it with the Dugan's finale, grace, what do you think the premise is for the script?
[00:09:49] Grace Peris: [00:09:49] Um, it's the finale of our real reality show. And then it's like the aftermath, like the after party wrap-up party kind of vibe.
[00:09:56] Josh Janssen: [00:09:56] Where does the Shakespeare come in though? That's where it was.
[00:10:01] George Martin: [00:10:01] Well, that's gone, so.
[00:10:04] Josh Janssen: [00:10:04] Okay. Very good. All right. Um, and who's playing who GB.
[00:10:09] George Martin: [00:10:09] Okay. Uh, write this down because there's, there's lots. Um, cool. Grace. Grace is Wendy Mason is Dale that standard. I am Jake. Josh, your Josh and TV, voiceover. And big print,
[00:10:33] Josh Janssen: [00:10:33] Jess
[00:10:33] Tommy Jackett: [00:10:33] and sound guy.
[00:10:35] George Martin: [00:10:35] Yeah. That's exactly right at Jess, your Jess and Constable Watson. Tell me your Constable Andrews and Tali
[00:10:48] Josh Janssen: [00:10:48] cry. Totally. Yeah.
[00:10:54] Mr. 97: [00:10:54] JB,
[00:10:54] Josh Janssen: [00:10:54] what are you?
[00:10:56] George Martin: [00:10:56] I'm just Jake I'm taking.
[00:10:58] Mr. 97: [00:10:58] Okay, great.
[00:10:58] George Martin: [00:10:58] Yeah. Happy to, happy to watch
[00:11:00] Josh Janssen: [00:11:00] it. Get a, watch the JB story.
[00:11:06] Happy to watch. Alrighty.
[00:11:08] George Martin: [00:11:08] Okay. Another bit that I've scrapped from the, from the script, but it was quite funny. Uh he's like, mate, you've got to get Jack post on the show because he has to write it and he wrote out. This is the bit where Jacqueline play that
[00:11:24] Josh Janssen: [00:11:24] song.
[00:11:28] George Martin: [00:11:28] Yeah, I like it. Yeah.
[00:11:31] Josh Janssen: [00:11:31] Okay. So, uh, thank you to the book room in Byron, wherever you get your, um, books, you should go to, um, the book room. They have a great selection. Um, I couldn't find me. Perfect.
[00:11:45] Mr. 97: [00:11:45] Okay. What's the website, Josh.
[00:11:47] Josh Janssen: [00:11:47] The website is the book firstname.lastname@example.org. Not to be confused, uh, Jasmine, or if you listening to it's not the book room and then the app symbol, byron.com.
[00:11:58] Right now, there was a slight confusion with part of our ad raid. It is the book email@example.com. The whole website.
[00:12:06] Mr. 97: [00:12:06] I T I T T Byron. Yeah.
[00:12:09] George Martin: [00:12:09] And, and also, why are you there? You could actually have a look at the daily talk show, book, club tab. That's still there.
[00:12:19] Tommy Jackett: [00:12:19] Can you get some photos of that? When you're in bar,
[00:12:21] Josh Janssen: [00:12:21] it takes over two lines as well, and then best buy everything is one line.
[00:12:27] And then the daily talk show book club is two lines, but I'm excited to announce 20, 21 it's coming back. So
[00:12:35] Mr. 97: [00:12:35] that's an exclusive,
[00:12:36] Josh Janssen: [00:12:36] yeah. Wow. Uh,
[00:12:38] Tommy Jackett: [00:12:38] George, can you sit up when you're up in Byron, this Christmas, uh, physical area in the
[00:12:43] George Martin: [00:12:43] bookshop? Yeah, the two books.
[00:12:46] Josh Janssen: [00:12:46] Yeah, no, there's three. Yeah, those tiny habits. The advice trap, which we never got to.
[00:12:54] You're not listening, not listening, but Gracie did by the advice trap, didn't you?
[00:12:58] Grace Peris: [00:12:58] Yeah, I did that. I bought the advice trap and I bought, you're not listening. I'm actually read, you're not listening.
[00:13:03] George Martin: [00:13:03] So what do we
[00:13:08] Josh Janssen: [00:13:08] know?
[00:13:12] Grace Peris: [00:13:12] Yeah. Uh, it's in Perth. So you can read it when we're in, in Perth.
[00:13:16] Josh Janssen: [00:13:16] Okay, great. I'll pick picking you, um, you books, to be honest.
[00:13:20] George Martin: [00:13:20] All
[00:13:20] Josh Janssen: [00:13:20] right. All right. So doing it with the Duggins finale. Written by FIM hops and GB pair box 400 Abbotsford Detroit three three six seven zero three, double nine eight one zero four zero eight, Georgia.
[00:13:36] Big media company.com exterior roof of suburban homes. Sunset fade into Wendy and Dale sitting, sharing a cigarette on the roof of their house. They're looking out over the backyard. The sun has just gone down behind the clouds, making for a bleak sunset. Night is coming fast. The wind is picking up and it's quickly getting cold.
[00:14:01] The couple's mood is melancholy melancholy, melancholy that it's going to say at the end. I don't
[00:14:10] George Martin: [00:14:10] call it melancholic,
[00:14:13] Josh Janssen: [00:14:13] denial and call it. Maybe I think, due to the anticlimactic
[00:14:25] experience and the death of the talking magpie. You
[00:14:30] Mr. 97: [00:14:30] think that if he knew how to talk, he'd understand that window. He'd understand windows a little bit better. Don't you think?
[00:14:38] Grace Peris: [00:14:38] Yeah, but I guess everyone has their blind spots.
[00:14:41] Mr. 97: [00:14:41] And to think that one broken window can mean the end of it all. Just like a race horse, I guess,
[00:14:49] Grace Peris: [00:14:49] you know, I can even catch his name.
[00:14:51] Do you think he even had one?
[00:14:53] George Martin: [00:14:53] I dunno,
[00:14:54] Mr. 97: [00:14:54] maybe you didn't have time to come up with one,
[00:14:57] Grace Peris: [00:14:57] but surely if he has a wife and kids, he would have a name. How can you have a family without being able to communicate with each other? That family must be chaos.
[00:15:06] Josh Janssen: [00:15:06] Well,
[00:15:07] Mr. 97: [00:15:07] yeah, that would explain what birds is such noisy animals, all squawk and no manners, squawks, squawk, squawk, all bloody day.
[00:15:14] Hey, are you related to the magpie?
[00:15:18] Grace Peris: [00:15:18] That's so funny, you know, it's going to be so hard. Yeah. He's family now.
[00:15:23] Mr. 97: [00:15:23] Yeah. Sorry. Bad joke. Another one.
[00:15:28] George Martin: [00:15:28] Is that, ah, sorry,
[00:15:31] Josh Janssen: [00:15:31] Wendy nuns. This is in the dialogue section of town. Uh, Wendy nods and Dale slowly pulls out a second cigarette. Jake is packing up his camera gear.
[00:15:41] He walks outside to say goodbye to Wendy and Dale. I think we're
[00:15:46] George Martin: [00:15:46] just about done. There's potentially one more shot we need to get, but it was lovely meeting you both. Uh, I think we've got some really good stuff.
[00:15:52] Josh Janssen: [00:15:52] Uh,
[00:15:53] Mr. 97: [00:15:53] you too, mate. Thanks for that.
[00:15:54] Josh Janssen: [00:15:54] The sound of sirens come fading in from the distance. Did Josh call triple
[00:16:00] Mr. 97: [00:16:00] zero?
[00:16:01] I thought he was joking.
[00:16:03] Josh Janssen: [00:16:03] Police car pulls out the front of the house and two cops approach, uh,
[00:16:09] Tommy Jackett: [00:16:09] some on here by the name of dial.
[00:16:13] George Martin: [00:16:13] Yeah, my that's just him on the roof. Uh,
[00:16:15] Tommy Jackett: [00:16:15] dial popped in for me, buddy.
[00:16:18] Josh Janssen: [00:16:18] Dale puts out his cigarette and hops down off the roof.
[00:16:22] George Martin: [00:16:22] Yep.
[00:16:23] Tommy Jackett: [00:16:23] Um, Constable Andrews, uh, this is Constable Watson might, uh, we've been contracted by an owner of a red vehicle who we've been contacted by an owner of the red vehicle who, uh, claims you've hit his car and taken off without leaving a night.

[00:22:41] George Martin: [00:22:41] it was mostly made.

[00:22:44] George Martin: [00:22:44] on Jim, to be honest, that was mostly me. I mean, like he did the first page I had to kind of, yeah.
[00:22:51] I mean, he's really good, but he did, but it was, it was a lot of big chunks of dialogue. Um, I'm trying to
[00:23:01] Josh Janssen: [00:23:01] different vibes. You said you hated it. Worst script ever. Now you're saying you loved it.
[00:23:06] George Martin: [00:23:06] Yeah, but I will say

And then I think this one was set like, so this was just after you filmed the 60 minutes.
[00:23:44] Um, the timeline was confused. I was trying to work out the timeline. Um,

[00:25:18] George Martin: [00:25:18] Yeah, I think so.
[00:25:19] Josh Janssen: [00:25:19] Okay.
