[00:00:00] Josh Janssen: [00:00:00] Happy Sunday. It's screenplay Sunday, everyone. JB. How are you today?
[00:00:14] George Martin: [00:00:14] Good to be here. Good to be here. And a welcome race. And Maria are two professional actors.
[00:00:21] Josh Janssen: [00:00:21] Maria. I think this is Dawn Tribbett.
[00:00:25] George Martin: [00:00:25] I was going to say, this is our highest level of. Guest, I reckon as far as like acting goes,
[00:00:31] Josh Janssen: [00:00:31] professionalism goes,
[00:00:32] Rhys Mitchell: [00:00:32] wow.
[00:00:35] Josh Janssen: [00:00:35] When was the last, uh, when was your last table read?
[00:00:41] Maria Angelico: [00:00:41] May
[00:00:42] Mr. 97: [00:00:42] Maria. Yeah.
[00:00:46] Maria Angelico: [00:00:46] Uh, for me, um, no, I, I, earlier this year I did a table raid for ABC series that we shot called retrograde, which was. Oh filmed remotely and the table rate. It was weird [00:01:00] because it was over zoom. And, um, and the whole thing about a table rate is like hearing that cost and crew off am like, love your acting.
[00:01:10] And everyone was on mute
[00:01:15] and it was a comedy. So like all the costs and all older, like. Heads of network and producers that were all like muted and the cameras were off and it was just, it was weed. It was like doing a play to empty theater, um,
[00:01:30] Mr. 97: [00:01:30] getting no feed
[00:01:31] Maria Angelico: [00:01:31] and then you'd forget the producers were there as well. And so I was worried, I was going to say offensive things and stuff, but anyway,
[00:01:36] Josh Janssen: [00:01:36] the show was great.
[00:01:37] And so what was the, what about the last, last one in person? What was that like?
[00:01:43] Maria Angelico: [00:01:43] Um, I can't even remember. I don't remember what it.
[00:01:48] Josh Janssen: [00:01:48] Yeah. Do they have good titering all the time, because we heard like, at the end of the show, I typically say, now everyone grab a tuna sandwich. Otherwise they'll go to waste.
[00:01:57] Thanks for coming. That's how we sort of finish [00:02:00] it.
[00:02:01] Maria Angelico: [00:02:01] Um, I'm a big, I'm like a closet Cubana fan. Like I know it's not the coolest snack
[00:02:06] Josh Janssen: [00:02:06] to have
[00:02:08] Maria Angelico: [00:02:08] at a pot. It's a bit suburban, but I love, I love cabana.
[00:02:13] George Martin: [00:02:13] Do you eat those raw? Like you just get him from the deli and you.
[00:02:16] Maria Angelico: [00:02:16] Yeah, spice it up with like a block of cheese maybe.
[00:02:20] Uh, yeah,
[00:02:22] Josh Janssen: [00:02:22] sometimes I actually just get a vintage chasing, cut it up in little squares. Like I am at a party. Isn't it funny how we don't really do that. Normally I shouldn't use toothpicks. Well, I actually today use, we've spoken a bit about, uh, pickles, uh, before the show. And so I've brought my pickles, which is a standard sweet spiced Gherkin rounds is what this one's called.
[00:02:49] Uh, Maria, what, what sort of, what's your pickle of choice?
[00:02:53] Maria Angelico: [00:02:53] Look, I'm to be honest, I'm surprised I wouldn't have picked you as a sweet, sweet pickle boy. [00:03:00] I would have. Um, but you know, I'm here. I've learned, I'm learning so much already on this, so I'm really
[00:03:07] Mr. 97: [00:03:07] happy. It's a real,
[00:03:09] Rhys Mitchell: [00:03:09] it's a real thing.
[00:03:10] Maria Angelico: [00:03:10] Because name tag, I know we're solving big problems here.
[00:03:14] Um, my newest piece. It is, it is I'm actually prepping for my next Ted talk. Um, my next one, I've never done one
[00:03:27] Rhys Mitchell: [00:03:27] Brian,
[00:03:29] Maria Angelico: [00:03:29] Brian, Brian time, but I'm
[00:03:33] Rhys Mitchell: [00:03:33] Brian tells you at the moment.
[00:03:35] Mr. 97: [00:03:35] Yeah.
[00:03:36] Maria Angelico: [00:03:36] For on time with a headset and I'm into pickled. Pineapple at the moment, um, which is it's really cool. It's really on the ground.
[00:03:44] You might not have heard of it, but delicious. It's great.
[00:03:48] Josh Janssen: [00:03:48] So, uh, race, you were saying that you actually had it, uh, on a taco. Uh, only a few weeks ago. Tell us about it. My friend, Pete
[00:03:56] Rhys Mitchell: [00:03:56] Baxter of, uh, hope street radio. [00:04:00] He's a top, top home cook. I mean, top, ah, like should be on master chef. It's such a crying shame that he's not.
[00:04:08] Yeah, he really is. And he did a fresh pineapple salsa to go with like a slow cooked pork taco. It was so insanely good. I went full dog mode and like ate. Too many, too many. Cause it was for like a big group and I. The lion's share.
[00:04:28] Maria Angelico: [00:04:28] Oh, you were that guy dumbed this place,
[00:04:31] Rhys Mitchell: [00:04:31] right? Absolutely.
[00:04:34] Josh Janssen: [00:04:34] So I straight away went to it.
[00:04:35] It must have been soft shell. Is there anyone using, having a pineapple salsa on a hard shell taco,
[00:04:43] Rhys Mitchell: [00:04:43] like 1996? You know, you're in like Moorabbin having a taco, you know what I mean?
[00:04:53] Maria Angelico: [00:04:53] One of my aunties might do that.
[00:04:56] Josh Janssen: [00:04:56] Yeah, it's
[00:04:57] Rhys Mitchell: [00:04:57] hard shells out there, but you just don't come [00:05:00] across
[00:05:00] Josh Janssen: [00:05:00] them. As
[00:05:02] Rhys Mitchell: [00:05:02] when we were kids
[00:05:03] Mr. 97: [00:05:03] annoying in the oven, GB, you're going to hate them up in the oven.
[00:05:07] Josh Janssen: [00:05:07] It's not
[00:05:09] George Martin: [00:05:09] easy. It's not annoying. You just Chuck them in, warm it up,
[00:05:12] Mr. 97: [00:05:12] easier in the microwave to put a cell phone in with a little chase.
[00:05:15] Josh Janssen: [00:05:15] Oh,
[00:05:16] Maria Angelico: [00:05:16] that hurts.
[00:05:26] Josh Janssen: [00:05:26] is it does have that vibe, but I just have, I feel like outside of, I don't think I've ever had a, a hard shell taco outside of sort of suburban Australia. Well, like at home
[00:05:39] Maria Angelico: [00:05:39] I did in
[00:05:40] Josh Janssen: [00:05:40] LA agree.
[00:05:41] Rhys Mitchell: [00:05:41] I totally agree. Taco
[00:05:42] Maria Angelico: [00:05:42] truck. That place code did you it's code Mara soul. I'm getting it wrong, but it's like the only Michelin star taco truck.
[00:05:51] And it was on that. I think it was on.
[00:05:56] Rhys Mitchell: [00:05:56] Oh, yeah. I saw
[00:05:57] that
[00:05:58] Maria Angelico: [00:05:58] and they do a hard shell [00:06:00] taco. And I think about that whole experience, um, often it was like the best taco.
[00:06:07] Josh Janssen: [00:06:07] So maybe not Bogan, maybe the opposite of Bogan, maybe the
[00:06:10] Mr. 97: [00:06:10] opposite, maybe, you know what
[00:06:11] Maria Angelico: [00:06:11] it was,
[00:06:11] Rhys Mitchell: [00:06:11] I think there's taco,
[00:06:14] Maria Angelico: [00:06:14] but I think it started as a song shell and then they fried it till
[00:06:19] Josh Janssen: [00:06:19] it went hot.
[00:06:20] Okay. So it's not sort of your classic sort of standard, like with the flat bottom surely
[00:06:27] Rhys Mitchell: [00:06:27] free, hard shell starts soft before you cook
[00:06:29] Maria Angelico: [00:06:29] it.
[00:06:31] Mr. 97: [00:06:31] Never really thought about that.
[00:06:36] Rhys Mitchell: [00:06:36] Yeah.
[00:06:38] Josh Janssen: [00:06:38] And so, um,
[00:06:40] Rhys Mitchell: [00:06:40] you know, a bit of Patty in a drum sort of taco, let's be honest.
[00:06:46] Josh Janssen: [00:06:46] So outside of sort of pickle chat, uh, GB, uh, George, he normally brings some industry facts because we lack sort of industry in this show, not today, obviously, but JB, what's your [00:07:00] industry contribution.
[00:07:01] George Martin: [00:07:01] Yep. So I like to race them around.
[00:07:04] I like to find a divorce of interests on this day. So I'll pick a fact from the day. And so today is the 8th of November and, uh, in 1970 easy rider director and actor, Dennis Hopper
[00:07:19] Josh Janssen: [00:07:19] divorced
[00:07:20] George Martin: [00:07:20] Michelle Phillips after eight days of marriage.
[00:07:24] Josh Janssen: [00:07:24] Well,
[00:07:25] Mr. 97: [00:07:25] what went wrong?
[00:07:26] George Martin: [00:07:26] Eight days. Do you know who Michelle Phillips is?
[00:07:28] Josh?
[00:07:29] Josh Janssen: [00:07:29] I don't know when it, you know what I'm like, I don't, as I watched documentaries, what's the, what's the deal.
[00:07:35] George Martin: [00:07:35] Michelle Phillips is one of the singers in mamas and mamas and puppets,
[00:07:41] Josh Janssen: [00:07:41] California dreaming. Oh, that's a great song. It is a good song. Did it on your tape production? You tend school production.
[00:07:49] Definitely. Didn't ask all was so sort of, uh, Uh, rough that we didn't give a fuck about rural too. It's like, we'll just, we always had the best productions. Cause we're like, come on, take us down. We'll do it. [00:08:00] Yeah,
[00:08:03] Rhys Mitchell: [00:08:03] because that's,
[00:08:08] Josh Janssen: [00:08:08] that we're just doing the full legit, you know, sort of
[00:08:10] Rhys Mitchell: [00:08:10] Disney's like this, this school in suburban Victoria ripping off our
[00:08:18] legal on them.
[00:08:19] Josh Janssen: [00:08:19] That's actually that, that was a big thing. Right? I just remembered that was. No, to be honest, we ended up doing, putting our own show together. Like we called it like the variety show. It was just, cause I think the production department didn't have enough money to get any like, uh, like licensing cause you'd have to pay for like the script.
[00:08:40] And um, so yeah, we ended up, there was a point where there's just a second of me juggling. It's in Costa Mesa, California
[00:08:48] Maria Angelico: [00:08:48] dreaming.
[00:08:49] Josh Janssen: [00:08:49] No, there was a, there was a different scene. What'd you do crocodile rock. I did do crocodile John, which was it, which is [00:09:00] massive. Yeah. Yep.
[00:09:01] Rhys Mitchell: [00:09:01] And they obviously cleared that with, um, with his publishing
[00:09:07] Josh Janssen: [00:09:07] separately,
[00:09:10] George Martin: [00:09:10] listening to California dreaming early today.
[00:09:12] Loved it. Um, Josh, I reckon this would be a song that you would play on. Repeat once you get into it, it's a great song and you should look up, there's this really hilarious on the ed Sullivan show. They're doing this live version. And for some reason back then they had to like lip sync whenever they went on TV, the band.
[00:09:30] And so Michelle she's there and she just eating a banana while they
[00:09:35] Josh Janssen: [00:09:35] sing. They're all like
[00:09:37] George Martin: [00:09:37] on acid or on weight or something like that. Right. So good.
[00:09:41] Josh Janssen: [00:09:41] That's a good .
[00:09:43] George Martin: [00:09:43] Yeah, just a quick followup from last week, you asked me whether it was the date that the divorce, the divorce was filed or finalized and it was actually, the date was filed.
[00:09:56] Okay.
[00:09:56] Josh Janssen: [00:09:56] So across the board, this whole website.
[00:09:59] George Martin: [00:09:59] Yes. [00:10:00] So Charlie Shane last week, I said he got divorced on the 1st of November, November. That's when he filed it. Okay. Didn't get finalized till may. So just want to clear that one out too. It
[00:10:10] Josh Janssen: [00:10:10] takes a while.
[00:10:10] Rhys Mitchell: [00:10:10] Dennis Hopper was married for one week, basically.
[00:10:14] George Martin: [00:10:14] Yeah.
[00:10:14] And keep in mind,
[00:10:15] Josh Janssen: [00:10:15] Dennis.
[00:10:18] George Martin: [00:10:18] Yeah, I think he did. He was married five times.
[00:10:21] Mr. 97: [00:10:21] He could be, he could still be married or is he dead? Is he dead?
[00:10:24] George Martin: [00:10:24] Nah, I think he got married like four times after her.
[00:10:26] Josh Janssen: [00:10:26] So it's nine times or how many or was it just five,
[00:10:30] George Martin: [00:10:30] five, five all up? No.
[00:10:32] Josh Janssen: [00:10:32] Is he dead?
[00:10:33] Mr. 97: [00:10:33] Uh, racing surely,
[00:10:38] Josh Janssen: [00:10:38] surely
[00:10:40] George Martin: [00:10:40] he died in 2010.
[00:10:42] Rhys Mitchell: [00:10:42] Oh,
[00:10:43] Josh Janssen: [00:10:43] there you go. Sorry about that. Any more details on that? JB, you've got a
[00:10:46] Mr. 97: [00:10:46] debit interest, George,
[00:10:49] Josh Janssen: [00:10:49] uh,
[00:10:51] George Martin: [00:10:51] as usual, the facts aren't. Aren't great.
[00:10:53] Josh Janssen: [00:10:53] No, that was good. And so today
[00:10:56] Maria Angelico: [00:10:56] I liked that
[00:11:04] [00:11:00] Josh Janssen: [00:11:04] um, so, uh, JB has been in charge of the script, uh, today. Uh, J B what is the title of the script?
[00:11:14] George Martin: [00:11:14] The title is caught on camera.
[00:11:17] Josh Janssen: [00:11:17] And so, uh, every episode we have a segment called guests, the premise where we will ask, okay, I'll guess,
[00:11:24] Mr. 97: [00:11:24] good night. It's the first time we've done that, by the
[00:11:26] Josh Janssen: [00:11:26] way, what do you mean?
[00:11:29] Mr. 97: [00:11:29] That's the first time you've you've put a hole.
[00:11:32] Josh Janssen: [00:11:32] I've called a segment. This is our
[00:11:34] Mr. 97: [00:11:34] segment
[00:11:34] Josh Janssen: [00:11:34] guest. I know it. Didn't say we do a thing called guests, the premise, and I just called it a segment. Anyway,
[00:11:43] Rhys Mitchell: [00:11:43] you've just
[00:11:44] Mr. 97: [00:11:44] put an embarrassing me in
[00:11:45] Josh Janssen: [00:11:45] front of race and Maria, every single time
[00:11:48] Maria Angelico: [00:11:48] I am so excited.
[00:11:50] George Martin: [00:11:50] Okay.
[00:11:50] Rhys Mitchell: [00:11:50] So I know exactly what I'm in for which
[00:11:53] Josh Janssen: [00:11:53] caught on camera.
[00:11:54] Maria, what do you think the, uh, what do you think caught on camera could mean.
[00:12:01] [00:12:00] Maria Angelico: [00:12:01] I w what do you want me to guess? That the
[00:12:04] Josh Janssen: [00:12:04] whole premise of the premise?
[00:12:07] Maria Angelico: [00:12:07] Okay. Hi. I think it is like, um, it's a, it's an abstract film that is in a kind of Truman show way based on, um, a, uh, quote on candid camera show. Um, and it's like a bit inception a bit, um, Who does wind energy. Um, and I think it's really, it's really, it's it's real breakthrough show.
[00:12:37] Um, that Australia is really, is gonna really be excited.
[00:12:41] Rhys Mitchell: [00:12:41] You're going to want to binge this. Let me tell you, yeah, you're going to be glad it was caught on camera.
[00:12:50] Josh Janssen: [00:12:50] It sounds great. I mean, I hope. If that is the case, I'd love to play Mike Whitney, um, race. Oh my God. I loved Mike Whitney. It was great. It wasn't, it.
[00:13:00] [00:13:00] You can be
[00:13:01] Maria Angelico: [00:13:01] get 50 bucks.
[00:13:03] Josh Janssen: [00:13:03] That was, I always felt like it was going to come to her because he always went to the shit as shopping centers. I was like, that looks like
[00:13:09] Mr. 97: [00:13:09] Debbie Hills,
[00:13:10] Josh Janssen: [00:13:10] but they all look like in devil Hills where I grew up, um, race. What do you think? What do you think the premise of caught on camera is.
[00:13:20] Rhys Mitchell: [00:13:20] I imagine sort of an interrogation situation where someone's denying something, but there's evidence sort of that, that's what I'm thinking. It would be kind of two hand, maybe two.
[00:13:33] Josh Janssen: [00:13:33] Yeah,
[00:13:33] Rhys Mitchell: [00:13:33] just two people chatting in a room or something. I think it will be kind of comedic. Um, I don't think it will be a breakthrough.
[00:13:39] I think it will be run of a male. I think it will be
[00:13:46] I'm really excited.
[00:13:49] Josh Janssen: [00:13:49] So on the daily talk show, we did it. Uh, when you say two handed, that reminds me, we told a story about a guy who was caught on zoom, on camera masturbating. Um, [00:14:00] and so I wonder, I don't think that GB GBS, not a smarter you guy. So I can't imagine there being any masturbation. Yeah. But, um,
[00:14:08] Rhys Mitchell: [00:14:08] I was not in
[00:14:10] Mr. 97: [00:14:10] masturbation
[00:14:11] Maria Angelico: [00:14:11] secret.
[00:14:13] I always make it, it,
[00:14:17] George Martin: [00:14:17] the problem with this segment is always, all the guesses are much better than the actual script.
[00:14:23] Rhys Mitchell: [00:14:23] I don't know about that. I said it would be run of the mill.
[00:14:27] Josh Janssen: [00:14:27] Yeah, you'd be surprised better. Okay. So, um, GB, uh, who's doing what today?
[00:14:33] George Martin: [00:14:33] Characters. So. All right. A bit of an acting challenge for race in this one.
[00:14:40] I thought, you know, we've got two professional professional actors here might as well use them. Then Josh is feeling tired. So,
[00:14:47] Josh Janssen: [00:14:47] yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. I'm feeling ground.
[00:14:50] George Martin: [00:14:50] You can do the heavy lifting. So race you'll be playing Chad and Ben.
[00:14:56] Josh Janssen: [00:14:56] Wow. Did you give one of the characters that was going to be made [00:15:00] to what's just happened?
[00:15:01] There was, I got it.
[00:15:03] George Martin: [00:15:03] I've actually written myself out of this script because I think, well, I think they're both. I can picture race playing both these characters and it'd
[00:15:10] Josh Janssen: [00:15:10] be a shame.
[00:15:14] George Martin: [00:15:14] Yeah, good.
[00:15:16] Josh Janssen: [00:15:16] Because we
[00:15:18] Rhys Mitchell: [00:15:18] grade, do we get any hints on the characters or do we just like figure it out as we,
[00:15:23] George Martin: [00:15:23] as we go? I figured it out as you go, but there's a little bit of a hint for one at the start. So you're chatting.
[00:15:27] Rhys Mitchell: [00:15:27] No, I mean like, will you literally tell us like the character profiles and the like, or do we just
[00:15:32] Josh Janssen: [00:15:32] read it called.
[00:15:39] uh,
[00:15:40] George Martin: [00:15:40] Maria, you'll be playing Brooke.
[00:15:43] Maria Angelico: [00:15:43] Great. She sounds awesome.
[00:15:48] George Martin: [00:15:48] Grace. Grace is Wendy. Uh, 97 is Dale. There are two main characters that have been every
[00:15:55] Josh Janssen: [00:15:55] script. So Maria, you can race on, they have one line
[00:16:03] [00:16:00] but you only have the action,
[00:16:09] George Martin: [00:16:09] but this is more, it's a story about, I mean, Dale does something that, and you go, geez. Okay. That's
[00:16:16] Josh Janssen: [00:16:16] okay. And then JB
[00:16:19] Mr. 97: [00:16:19] actually could be the, uh,
[00:16:21] George Martin: [00:16:21] Josh. It could be Josh, your big print and Jake.
[00:16:26] Josh Janssen: [00:16:26] Oh, so I am big print.
[00:16:28] George Martin: [00:16:28] I mean, yeah, because I think you'd want it. I think you'd want to be, I mean, you can be Jake if you want, but he doesn't have many lines.
[00:16:33] Josh Janssen: [00:16:33] Okay. Well, I'm happy for you to be if I'm low energy, have you used any hard words? Cause I'll
[00:16:39] George Martin: [00:16:39] be pissed. I'll be Jake and you can be big print.
[00:16:42] Mr. 97: [00:16:42] Okay, man. He's really
[00:16:43] George Martin: [00:16:43] pushing you. You'll get it. Pink print.
[00:16:45] Josh Janssen: [00:16:45] Okay. All right, here we go. We all good? Everyone's good, everyone. Okay. Yes.
[00:16:50] Maria Angelico: [00:16:50] Okay, great.
[00:16:51] So
[00:16:52] Rhys Mitchell: [00:16:52] do we open up the script now we open up the
[00:16:53] Josh Janssen: [00:16:53] screen script.
[00:16:56] Uh, so formatting looks good. Uh, [00:17:00] caught on camera written by George Martin. Address, phone number, email, uh, interior cinema de Chad. An American guy in his late twenties is taking his dog friend, Brooke on a date. They arrive at the counter.
[00:17:20] Rhys Mitchell: [00:17:20] Uh, can we get two tickets to bond please? CHOC, top large popcorn, a large Coke
[00:17:26] Maria Angelico: [00:17:26] and some Maltesers
[00:17:30] George Martin: [00:17:30] 74 95.
[00:17:31] Thanks.
[00:17:33] Rhys Mitchell: [00:17:33] Just on an Apple
[00:17:34] Josh Janssen: [00:17:34] pay. Thanks Chad scans. He's fine.
[00:17:39] George Martin: [00:17:39] Declined
[00:17:41] Rhys Mitchell: [00:17:41] that doesn't sound right. Uh, try this card.
[00:17:47] George Martin: [00:17:47] Declined again, Matt.
[00:17:51] Josh Janssen: [00:17:51] Oh, here.
[00:17:52] Maria Angelico: [00:17:52] I'll get it. Oh,
[00:17:56] Josh Janssen: [00:17:56] that was fine.
[00:17:57] Maria Angelico: [00:17:57] Yep.
[00:17:58] George Martin: [00:17:58] That was bad.
[00:17:59] Josh Janssen: [00:17:59] Really [00:18:00] bad formatting.
[00:18:03] thank you, Brooke scans are fine.
[00:18:04] Maria Angelico: [00:18:04] Yeah.
[00:18:07] George Martin: [00:18:07] Oh yeah. That's gone through, enjoy the movie. If you want free parking, just give me a number plate and uh, I'll uh, sought out a ticket.
[00:18:16] Rhys Mitchell: [00:18:16] Oh, thanks. Yes. It's a ch for D D Z. It was a 21st present. It looks a bit like Chad's, which was my, uh, nickname, uh, high school.
[00:18:28] Josh Janssen: [00:18:28] Jake is uninterested in the story and Brooklyn, Chad walk-off they're quite tense.
[00:18:36] Maria Angelico: [00:18:36] Uh, so when are you going to get a job, Chad? I'm sick of always paying for stuff. You invited me on a day. He drives me here and you're a BMW. And then I end up forking out the cash. How about you sell your car,
[00:18:52] Rhys Mitchell: [00:18:52] baby? You know, I love you. And I love that car.
[00:18:57] Josh Janssen: [00:18:57] I can't sell it
[00:18:58] Rhys Mitchell: [00:18:58] besides my [00:19:00] film script is coming along really well.
[00:19:03] I'll be pitching. You know, to like a bunch of networks in the next couple of
[00:19:07] Mr. 97: [00:19:07] weeks. So
[00:19:10] Maria Angelico: [00:19:10] you've been saying that for a
[00:19:12] Josh Janssen: [00:19:12] month, exterior shopping, whole top pack day, continuous tile and windy.
[00:19:24] I've never seen
[00:19:28] what does that say?
[00:19:30] George Martin: [00:19:30] Yeah. So. That pops up from time to time. I wasn't sure. I thought I
[00:19:33] Josh Janssen: [00:19:33] looked draft. Is that, uh, right you at? Okay. Let's dial it in manually. All right.
[00:19:44] To on Monday, you guys see me down
[00:19:47] Mr. 97: [00:19:47] 14 bucks for two hours. Jesus Christ.
[00:19:52] Maria Angelico: [00:19:52] Will. I have to be quick. The heck I we'll just we'll
[00:19:54] Mr. 97: [00:19:54] take, we'll only take half an hour.
[00:19:56] Josh Janssen: [00:19:56] Interior cinema day chat and Brooklyn watching the [00:20:00] free views. You see that?
[00:20:03] Maria Angelico: [00:20:03] What? The editing
[00:20:07] Josh Janssen: [00:20:07] just then
[00:20:08] Maria Angelico: [00:20:08] the
[00:20:08] Josh Janssen: [00:20:08] eyeline was off. It's called
[00:20:11] Rhys Mitchell: [00:20:11] crossing the line.
[00:20:13] Both people
[00:20:14] Mr. 97: [00:20:14] in that conversation.
[00:20:16] Rhys Mitchell: [00:20:16] We're looking the same direction on screen. It's ridiculous.
[00:20:21] Maria Angelico: [00:20:21] All right. Calm down. I'm going to head to the bathroom quickly before the movie starts,
[00:20:28] Josh Janssen: [00:20:28] exterior shopping mall, car park
[00:20:34] to the car park.
[00:20:36] Maria Angelico: [00:20:36] Oh, there's one over there. Next to that red car.
[00:20:39] Josh Janssen: [00:20:39] They all swings it in tight. Breathe in.
[00:20:45] Maria Angelico: [00:20:45] Geeze. Careful. You're bloody close there.
[00:20:47] Josh Janssen: [00:20:47] The front of the car scratches down the side of the red car. Shit. He reverses and it scratches that more. What are you doing? An Anon? An onlooker. Ben is [00:21:00] watching the whole thing unfold.
[00:21:01] He gets his phone out to film. Dale manages to pull the car out and they assess the damage.
[00:21:08] Mr. 97: [00:21:08] Let's quietly. Just get out of here,
[00:21:13] Rhys Mitchell: [00:21:13] man. I'm Ben, right?
[00:21:14] George Martin: [00:21:14] Yup.
[00:21:16] Rhys Mitchell: [00:21:16] I got the whole thing on camera.
[00:21:18] Mr. 97: [00:21:18] Oh, good mate. No need to film. I'll just leave a note and we'll be fine. Thank you.
[00:21:23] Rhys Mitchell: [00:21:23] Now you're done night looking at 750 for that repair job.
[00:21:28] Red Beamer bling bloody bling mate ring, a Dean cash monies
[00:21:36] Josh Janssen: [00:21:36] interior cinema die broken is walking out of the bathroom when she notices jive. At the counter, talking to someone, showing him something on the phone. Jake gestures at R
[00:21:49] George Martin: [00:21:49] C H four D D Z. I think that's, I think it's actually hers over there.
[00:21:54] Josh Janssen: [00:21:54] Brooke. Wanders over,
[00:21:57] Maria Angelico: [00:21:57] uh, what's going on here.
[00:22:03] [00:22:00] Oh, Oh my God. That's my boyfriends.
[00:22:08] Rhys Mitchell: [00:22:08] Okay, well, some dickhead with half a haircut attempted to hit and run. And I said the day I got it all on camera for you. Nice ride. Anyway.
[00:22:18] Josh Janssen: [00:22:18] Uh,
[00:22:19] Mr. 97: [00:22:19] I'll be right back,
[00:22:20] Josh Janssen: [00:22:20] Brooke. Rushes into the cinema
[00:22:24] Maria Angelico: [00:22:24] bed, babe. We gotta go. Come on.
[00:22:27] Josh Janssen: [00:22:27] Where are you talking about?
[00:22:28] Rhys Mitchell: [00:22:28] The movie's about to start.
[00:22:30] I've just opened up my chalk top, plus he seats her so comfy.
[00:22:35] Maria Angelico: [00:22:35] Someone has hit your car. It's been scratched all the way down the side.
[00:22:41] Josh Janssen: [00:22:41] What? No,
[00:22:46] Maria Angelico: [00:22:46] come on. Let's go.
[00:22:51] Josh Janssen: [00:22:51] Why?
[00:22:52] Rhys Mitchell: [00:22:52] Why are you smiling?
[00:22:55] Maria Angelico: [00:22:55] This is our chance to get you off your feet. Think about the [00:23:00] money we could make.
[00:23:02] Rhys Mitchell: [00:23:02] I don't think you understand how this works.
[00:23:07] Maria Angelico: [00:23:07] It's all on camera. They've got no way out of this.
[00:23:12] Josh Janssen: [00:23:12] They quickly exit the cinema to find Jake and Ben still there.
[00:23:17] Maria Angelico: [00:23:17] Uh, show us the video.
[00:23:20] Rhys Mitchell: [00:23:20] Here you go clear as day.
[00:23:22] So what's the number plate Ben, can you zoom in?
[00:23:26] Josh Janssen: [00:23:26] They try to make out the cars number plate Dale was driving, but it was too blurry.
[00:23:33] Maria Angelico: [00:23:33] You've got insurance, right baby.
[00:23:38] Josh Janssen: [00:23:38] Last week. Dang.
[00:23:42] Mr. 97: [00:23:42] Sorry to hear that, bro.
[00:23:45] Rhys Mitchell: [00:23:45] Anyway, I'm off. I'll uh, air drop you the video. And maybe you can, uh, entered into funniest home videos or something, and I can make a couple hundred bucks.
[00:23:55] Josh Janssen: [00:23:55] Chad begins tearing up. I just
[00:23:58] Rhys Mitchell: [00:23:58] wanted to [00:24:00] take you on a nice date. I've been so Slack lately and now
[00:24:04] Maria Angelico: [00:24:04] it's happened. It's okay, honey. Look at the very least you got a good story now for your script. You could add this in all you need is a bunch of little scenes and you've got yourself a feature that will make perfect sense.
[00:24:25] You're the most, most, most, most, most, most genius man in the whole world.
[00:24:34] Josh Janssen: [00:24:34] Wow. Wow.
[00:24:36] Rhys Mitchell: [00:24:36] Thanks Brookie. Let's just go and enjoy the
[00:24:40] Josh Janssen: [00:24:40] movie. Jake passes, Chad, uh, sneakers. I
[00:24:47] George Martin: [00:24:47] hear you go on the house.
[00:24:49] Josh Janssen: [00:24:49] Exterior shopping mall, car park, continuous tile in the car park.
[00:25:00] [00:25:00] Maria Angelico: [00:25:00] Oh my God doubt. I
[00:25:01] Mr. 97: [00:25:01] can't believe you. I had to, I can't afford that.
[00:25:05] Maria Angelico: [00:25:05] This is a hit and run.
[00:25:06] Mr. 97: [00:25:06] We're on camera. You
[00:25:07] Maria Angelico: [00:25:07] idiot.
[00:25:08] Mr. 97: [00:25:08] We'll be fine.
[00:25:09] Josh Janssen: [00:25:09] And same
[00:25:13] Mr. 97: [00:25:13] continuous,
[00:25:14] George Martin: [00:25:14] beautifully fly guys. Usefully applied.
[00:25:22] Josh Janssen: [00:25:22] So
[00:25:25] George Martin: [00:25:25] feedback.
[00:25:27] Josh Janssen: [00:25:27] Yeah.
[00:25:33] Mr. 97: [00:25:33] Yeah. I
[00:25:33] Rhys Mitchell: [00:25:33] really enjoyed, I really enjoyed experiencing you. Find your character.
[00:25:38] Josh Janssen: [00:25:38] Yes. Beautiful.
[00:25:40] Maria Angelico: [00:25:40] I liked the Brook character. Let
[00:25:42] Rhys Mitchell: [00:25:42] me tell you, she's quite sure I liked it though. We're both American. Cause it wasn't. It was never in the character profile about Brooke, but yeah, they came here together maybe.
[00:25:51] Josh Janssen: [00:25:51] Oh,
[00:25:52] Maria Angelico: [00:25:52] say freezing cold.
[00:25:53] Josh Janssen: [00:25:53] Sorry. Yeah. It's like everyone else. Yeah. I was trying to pitch aware at, was, was this in Australia? Was this [00:26:00] because everyone else was Australian. So could you say,
[00:26:03] Maria Angelico: [00:26:03] sorry.
[00:26:05] Josh Janssen: [00:26:05] It
[00:26:05] George Martin: [00:26:05] was perfect. Yeah, that was you guys played those characters, beautifully race. Well done. Switching between the Bergen Ozzie.
[00:26:14] Rhys Mitchell: [00:26:14] Yeah. Wow.
[00:26:16] Maria Angelico: [00:26:16] That's really United States of race Mitchell. Then
[00:26:21] Rhys Mitchell: [00:26:21] I'm just going to edit this clip out and put it in my shower. Real good things for me.
[00:26:27] Josh Janssen: [00:26:27] You could do a montage as you watch this.
[00:26:32] George Martin: [00:26:32] So when do you use continuous that? Cause I thought it was like the same time.
[00:26:38] Josh Janssen: [00:26:38] So why would you be
[00:26:39] Rhys Mitchell: [00:26:39] continuous? So when someone goes from one room to another room and now you're like, you're in a bedroom and then you walk into a lounge room and the same continuance, but you're in a new environment. So
[00:26:49] do
[00:26:50] Maria Angelico: [00:26:50] you change the sane or do you just
[00:26:52] Rhys Mitchell: [00:26:52] like, well, yeah, if you change the
[00:26:54] Maria Angelico: [00:26:54] setting.
[00:26:55] Okay.
[00:26:56] George Martin: [00:26:56] Interior lounge, room interior, exterior
[00:27:00] [00:26:59] Rhys Mitchell: [00:26:59] house. You know, interior house, continuous. Maybe it's like a trend
[00:27:03] Josh Janssen: [00:27:03] I haven't really seen, but it's not. It's sort of like when you see a, um, someone overusing sort of like a semi-colon or something, is this, how often are people using continuous? Do you see the one in this
[00:27:16] Mr. 97: [00:27:16] rarely?
[00:27:17] Josh Janssen: [00:27:17] So we've got a six page script and it's featured on everything.
[00:27:24] Maria Angelico: [00:27:24] Sometimes people use a moments later, if you want to make sure this is no time, John, you can say a moment moment later.
[00:27:31] Josh Janssen: [00:27:31] And over that pretty quickly, I think as well though, I mean, it feels like,
[00:27:36] Rhys Mitchell: [00:27:36] I feel like, I feel like Georgie boy was using it to be like, this is the next scene.
[00:27:42] It's a linear film and yeah,
[00:27:45] George Martin: [00:27:45] it was happening at the same time.
[00:27:48] Josh Janssen: [00:27:48] Oh,
[00:27:49] Rhys Mitchell: [00:27:49] you meant everything was occurring at the same time.
[00:27:52] George Martin: [00:27:52] Simultaneously. I think so. It's like, you guys
[00:27:54] Mr. 97: [00:27:54] are
[00:27:56] George Martin: [00:27:56] pulling in
[00:27:58] Maria Angelico: [00:27:58] just right,
[00:27:59] Mr. 97: [00:27:59] right. Yeah. The
[00:28:00] [00:27:59] Josh Janssen: [00:27:59] tiniest film elephant is a bit like that.
[00:28:04] Rhys Mitchell: [00:28:04] I think the indication in the scrap
[00:28:09] Josh Janssen: [00:28:09] it is it's it's it feels like J base and continuous is like, At the end of every piece of dialogue saying he said, and she said, it's sort of there's, there's, it's implied, but look, I didn't do it like you can't, I've been criticized before by listeners in saying that I just criticize, I never do anything.
[00:28:30] And so I'm wary of that really.
[00:28:33] Rhys Mitchell: [00:28:33] I was using it
[00:28:35] Mr. 97: [00:28:35] like great job.
[00:28:36] Josh Janssen: [00:28:36] Yeah. That was great job.
[00:28:38] Rhys Mitchell: [00:28:38] I thought GB that you were using continuous, like the film is not over yet. Continue. Don't give up.
[00:28:49] Maria Angelico: [00:28:49] Don't leave
[00:28:50] Rhys Mitchell: [00:28:50] things. You're going to come.
[00:28:52] Josh Janssen: [00:28:52] Shoot. You got your man.
[00:28:55] George Martin: [00:28:55] Oh, I was going to say for like eight, what are we? Eight apps in this episode?
[00:28:58] Eight, eight apps [00:29:00] into 10 parts series. And. I mean so many loose ends. So now we know that Dale is,
[00:29:06] Rhys Mitchell: [00:29:06] do you know what you should do? You should do like an balanced screenplay Sunday now that you're like, you know, experienced in the field, your biggest films, you do big, you do features.
[00:29:19] Josh Janssen: [00:29:19] Yeah, right? Yeah. I could imagine maybe JB could mix it up rather than saying continuous.
[00:29:24] You could.
[00:29:51] George Martin: [00:29:51] Any luck the way you guys put, try
[00:29:53] Josh Janssen: [00:29:53] that. What was everyone's fate let's let's um, let's try and find our favorite segment. Now [00:30:00] this the second one, I love to play called favorite bit. Um, Maria, what was
[00:30:05] Rhys Mitchell: [00:30:05] your favorite
[00:30:06] Josh Janssen: [00:30:06] bit of favorite bit? Uh, We looked through the strip and we found the fiber bit.
[00:30:14] Rhys Mitchell: [00:30:14] Makes sense.
[00:30:15] Josh Janssen: [00:30:15] Thank you.
[00:30:17] Rhys Mitchell: [00:30:17] I really love the functional titles.
[00:30:19] Josh Janssen: [00:30:19] Well, yeah, I mean, it's the screen
[00:30:26] any, any favorite bit? It could be a piece of dialogue. It could be action. Uh, any, any moment that really stuck out
[00:30:35] Maria Angelico: [00:30:35] the thing that, uh, really. I can't get out of my head was the description of the car, scraping the car. It was a very practical, similar what, like what I just said, it's very no-frills description.
[00:30:51] Um, it's just the car that this car scribes past this car and I just lie. There was no, no funny business. And I, [00:31:00] um, it was refreshing.
[00:31:01] Josh Janssen: [00:31:01] And
[00:31:04] Rhys Mitchell: [00:31:04] what was interesting. What was interesting about that part was you learnt whose car it was through the dialogue, not the big print, which is wrong.
[00:31:16] Josh Janssen: [00:31:16] Yeah.
[00:31:16] Maria Angelico: [00:31:16] Yeah. It was very, very, um, expositional dialogue, which is
[00:31:21] Josh Janssen: [00:31:21] fun. I mean,
[00:31:23] Rhys Mitchell: [00:31:23] I thought the ending, the ending was really odd. Because it kind of was like, it had the, it read like a cliff hanger, but everything was already concluded before that. So he just said he was like, I guess we will be
[00:31:38] George Martin: [00:31:38] physically thing.
[00:31:40] Josh Janssen: [00:31:40] Isn't it?
[00:31:41] George Martin: [00:31:41] When
[00:31:42] Josh Janssen: [00:31:42] does it continue the rest of the scenes dude? Um,
[00:31:49] George Martin: [00:31:49] yeah, because this is a 75% into our
[00:31:52] Josh Janssen: [00:31:52] film, that's it? Yeah. So I was, to be honest,
[00:31:57] Maria Angelico: [00:31:57] the film.
[00:31:58] Josh Janssen: [00:31:58] I think the climax [00:32:00] would have been if it said insane continually.
[00:32:07] Yeah. But no, I think it was JB, I think. Yeah, it was really good. Um, I think, you know, it's, you've got a real sort of Aaron Sorkin vibe. The dialogue is just pacing. Casey Pacey pace. It's continuous. It's really constantly moving through the scenes.
[00:32:20] Mr. 97: [00:32:20] It is,
[00:32:22] Josh Janssen: [00:32:22] as Maria said, it also doesn't have that, you know? No, there's no frills action.
[00:32:26] You almost get the sense that the action was just thrown in at the last second, just to sort of make it make sense. It's really nice.
[00:32:33] Maria Angelico: [00:32:33] It's just like just real life.
[00:32:37] Josh Janssen: [00:32:37] Um, have you guys had fun? Have you, if you have fun.
[00:32:42] Rhys Mitchell: [00:32:42] Yeah. It was wonderful. I liked, I really liked Chad. I love the character legitimately would like to play Chad.
[00:32:51] Um, yeah, a lot of fun. I'd love to, you know, his, his love of his car kind of dominating everything in his
[00:32:59] Josh Janssen: [00:32:59] life [00:33:00] could be a
[00:33:00] Rhys Mitchell: [00:33:00] lot of fun to play.
[00:33:01] Josh Janssen: [00:33:01] Maria. Have you had, like, what's been fun for you?
[00:33:05] Rhys Mitchell: [00:33:05] Uh
[00:33:11] Maria Angelico: [00:33:11] what's been, uh, well for me, um, I think, uh, the whole experience beginning to end.
[00:33:19] Mr. 97: [00:33:19] Did you feel
[00:33:26] Maria Angelico: [00:33:26] I feel like this has been all middle. Yeah. And that's not, it made, it was nice, you know, what's going on. Um, and I just, I just want to give some more encouragement, um, because I feel that we have
[00:33:36] Mr. 97: [00:33:36] criticize
[00:33:37] Maria Angelico: [00:33:37] the script a lot. And even though I think, um, That is okay. But, um, I just want to encourage you. They, you know, I think, um, JB that it's, you know, you, you know, you did it and sometimes just doing it is good.
[00:33:52] Josh Janssen: [00:33:52] It sounds like you're attacking me. I appreciate it.
[00:34:06] [00:34:00] I think you're riding
[00:34:08] Rhys Mitchell: [00:34:08] tenuous theme in your life.
[00:34:13] Uh, I think you write dialogue pretty well. I'd say, I think your dialogue is fun.
[00:34:17] Josh Janssen: [00:34:17] Now we play one other segment. It's a new one. It's called who's closest to a train station.
[00:34:24] Maria Angelico: [00:34:24] Oh, I love
[00:34:27] Rhys Mitchell: [00:34:27] how do we play this? Can you explain to me what's the,
[00:34:29] Josh Janssen: [00:34:29] so
[00:34:30] Mr. 97: [00:34:30] everyone just says
[00:34:31] Josh Janssen: [00:34:31] how many meters away they think they have from a train? Is that UGB. This, this who's, who's all the, where's all the trainers, right? Yeah. That makes sense. I was thinking, I was like, who the fuck? Like I was like, it sounds like at the same train as the office that goes by you're at the half of that makes a lot of sense.
[00:34:54] Yeah. Um, okay. Well
[00:35:00] [00:35:00] Maria Angelico: [00:35:00] bridge
[00:35:02] Josh Janssen: [00:35:02] JB, standing meters from the train. Yeah. Anyone else closer
[00:35:06] Maria Angelico: [00:35:06] than the, with the traits? I have no idea what I
[00:35:10] Josh Janssen: [00:35:10] know. I'm quite close to tram. That's not the guy
[00:35:18] next.
[00:35:18] Mr. 97: [00:35:18] This is a new segment. Let's just do a
[00:35:20] Josh Janssen: [00:35:20] tram. Who's closest to, um, public transport. No, it's cold out. Where could you go with your Mikey? Um, um, actually, Mason, you had a, you were really surprised at how far. The one Oh nine goes, uh, on that day.
[00:35:38] Mr. 97: [00:35:38] Yep. Yeah, the one at the one and nine, uh, rats, uh, that tram, that tram line goes far.
[00:35:44] It goes all the way from box Hill.
[00:35:48] Josh Janssen: [00:35:48] Just the pineapple pickles are in the fridge bag.
[00:35:55] You need a hand over there. Pineapple pickles or will you be okay for a few minutes?
[00:35:59] Maria Angelico: [00:35:59] Just
[00:36:00] [00:36:00] Josh Janssen: [00:36:00] like
[00:36:00] Rhys Mitchell: [00:36:00] Maria, you could've pretended that was your assistant.
[00:36:17] Maria Angelico: [00:36:17] Great assistant.
[00:36:22] Rhys Mitchell: [00:36:22] He should've played Ben.
[00:36:29] Josh Janssen: [00:36:29] That was great. I really had a lot of fun. You had fun, really fun. Bang.
[00:36:35] George Martin: [00:36:35] It's gotten better.
[00:36:36] Mr. 97: [00:36:36] It's improved.
[00:36:37] George Martin: [00:36:37] Yeah. I think that improved.
[00:36:39] Mr. 97: [00:36:39] I always end on a high Josh, which is great. You have fun. And then you, this is actually really great. And then you you're full of energy.
[00:36:48] Josh Janssen: [00:36:48] I feel really good. Yeah.
[00:36:50] George Martin: [00:36:50] Kind have retrospective fun.
[00:36:51] You don't having fun at the time, but then at the end you go yet. That was fun.
[00:36:54] Josh Janssen: [00:36:54] Yeah, definitely. No, I feel that way. That's true
[00:36:57] Rhys Mitchell: [00:36:57] of arguing. That's true of life
[00:37:00] [00:37:00] Maria Angelico: [00:37:00] with parties and everything
[00:37:04] Josh Janssen: [00:37:04] I had. So yeah, I'm not necessarily the, the best person when it comes to going to parties, but my girlfriend Bree or what, like one of the most annoying things that happens is when we're coming home, she says, now that was fun.
[00:37:15] Wasn't it? And it just takes all my mind just because yeah, I did have fun, but I just, for whatever reason, I just don't want to say it because then it sends this sets, this price that I I'm instantly going to every party. And it's just, it's too stressful, you know?
[00:37:32] Rhys Mitchell: [00:37:32] You think it will be used against you?
[00:37:34] Like, but remember you said that was fun.
[00:37:36] Josh Janssen: [00:37:36] Yeah, exactly. So, but there is just the, um, I mean, are you finding with the COVID stuff and things opening up and there being more social events, how are you guys going bad
[00:37:48] Maria Angelico: [00:37:48] left, like drink drinks the other day. And I had no excuse. I was like, ah, ah, it was like a bunch of us having drinks.
[00:37:55] I was down the road and I was like, I got to go and I didn't even have an excuse. [00:38:00] Everyone's like why? And I was like, I just
[00:38:06] I just couldn't. It was like, it was enough. It was really nice to see my friends.
[00:38:12] Rhys Mitchell: [00:38:12] Oh, my God, Maria. What about, what about the weekend
[00:38:14] Josh Janssen: [00:38:14] at the
[00:38:14] Rhys Mitchell: [00:38:14] beach?
[00:38:17] Maria Angelico: [00:38:17] Wait, wait, just for the beach,
[00:38:19] Josh Janssen: [00:38:19] right? Did you go to
[00:38:21] Maria Angelico: [00:38:21] Sandringham?
[00:38:22] Josh Janssen: [00:38:22] Cause we took a glace to port Melbourne.
[00:38:34] Maria Angelico: [00:38:34] taking her to like.
[00:38:36] Josh Janssen: [00:38:36] Industrial.
[00:38:36] Rhys Mitchell: [00:38:36] So I want to see, you want to see where the state of Tasmania takes off.
[00:38:47] Josh Janssen: [00:38:47] Yes,
[00:38:49] Maria Angelico: [00:38:49] people rocked up DJ decks next to us. And the beach was so busy. We couldn't move to a further away spot and they'll playing. It was like a base thought. Like it was [00:39:00] like, it was so insane, very entertaining and fun. But also I, um, it was really, it was exhausting.
[00:39:07] Josh Janssen: [00:39:07] How did I'm always interested in how they power those things?
[00:39:09] So they have their own generator.
[00:39:12] Maria Angelico: [00:39:12] They must've and also the DJ didn't have a chair and it really annoyed me because the decks were really low. And I was like, just sit on the sand and, you know, but he was standing and bending over and he would
[00:39:25] Rhys Mitchell: [00:39:25] have been . The whole time he's quads and incredible
[00:39:33] Maria Angelico: [00:39:33] people.
[00:39:34] Rhys Mitchell: [00:39:34] There's people that have that giant unicorn inflatable, like humongous
[00:39:41] Maria Angelico: [00:39:41] it felt like the end of the world. Like, I was like waiting for an asteroid to come by.
[00:39:48] Mr. 97: [00:39:48] I just said port Melbourne, everyone was bringing like trolleys, just
[00:39:51] Maria Angelico: [00:39:51] full of stuff. And I was like,
[00:39:53] Mr. 97: [00:39:53] What are you guys doing like you to get out to the beach once a year or something like you just going to get all your
[00:39:58] Maria Angelico: [00:39:58] bills.
[00:40:06] [00:40:00] Josh Janssen: [00:40:06] just had a lot of tents. A lot of, a lot of stuff, but everyone had toys. It's like, they didn't know that there was going to be sandcastles there. So they brought like their own things
[00:40:18] Maria Angelico: [00:40:18] like late night.
[00:40:19] Josh Janssen: [00:40:19] Yes. It looked like it was like the beach brought to you by wish.com.com.
[00:40:26] George Martin: [00:40:26] But it's true that even the other, the other weekend, and we all hung out for, for Mason's birthday.
[00:40:31] I remember, like we'll pack in the picnic basket and it was like, shit, we got everything like cat been fed, like
[00:40:36] Josh Janssen: [00:40:36] haven't what are we going
[00:40:38] George Martin: [00:40:38] to do? I've got water. He's got water. That's all good. Okay.
[00:40:41] Rhys Mitchell: [00:40:41] Yeah. Have you got 15 rolls of toilet paper
[00:40:48] bugging
[00:40:48] Josh Janssen: [00:40:48] out backpack? I could get around a bug out backpack. Can I just say I got the most annoying, the most annoying, uh, PO box, um, delivery [00:41:00] yesterday, uh, mr. 97, it had his name on it and I said, can I, can I open, can I open the package? It's got your name on it. He said, yes. And it was from a promotions company that does like printed merchandise.
[00:41:14] And I got a yo-yo. I got like a torch. I got, uh, a metal straw. It was just like, great. No, it's just the most.
[00:41:29] Mr. 97: [00:41:29] Have you been at all?
[00:41:30] Josh Janssen: [00:41:30] That's fantastic. Uh, but like, I mean, it's, it's not good for the environment. Cause they sent me all this shit on and prompted like look a lot of, a lot of straws. Like I've got three straws there
[00:41:44] Maria Angelico: [00:41:44] and why are you complaining Josh?
[00:41:46] Josh Janssen: [00:41:46] I am. I just feel like that. This is like, it feels like I went to a conference or something.
[00:41:50] It's just so much random Hillsong. Exactly.
[00:41:56] George Martin: [00:41:56] You could get a good quality. This shit, yo,
[00:41:58] Josh Janssen: [00:41:58] that would be a shit. I think it'll [00:42:00] be a shit, but it does get you think it, it reminds me of when I was school captain and the hoodie company sent me a, a pack. Uh, which included a hoodie and chocolates, um, as a way of trying to convince us to, uh, to use them from a bought a thousand, no, actually they, the, the principal, what?
[00:42:22] That it would encourage gang culture. If we were all to get you to mold footy. So it was vetoed. Yeah, no, yeah, she gets crazy, but I did have the, um, the sneakers. It was, it was great. Lucky. Yeah. I just wanted to tell that story
[00:42:40] Maria Angelico: [00:42:40] now.
[00:42:43] Josh Janssen: [00:42:43] yeah, we'll take a photo. You will see a photo of me, uh, drinking out of a straw.
[00:42:49] Um, Well,
[00:42:51] Rhys Mitchell: [00:42:51] and that will be something to look forward to. I guess
[00:42:54] Josh Janssen: [00:42:54] the other thing it does come with, like it does come with a cleaner, um, and there's something [00:43:00] I've never actually seen a pipe cleaner used for its intended purpose.
[00:43:06] Rhys Mitchell: [00:43:06] There you go. Great. Wonderful. I think, I think conversations hit an all time low,
[00:43:11] Mr. 97: [00:43:11] so we should probably
[00:43:12] Josh Janssen: [00:43:12] wrap this up.
[00:43:13] That was actually, um, we're still on the script. Uh, continue this morning day. Uh, Josh holds straw and says. Thanks
[00:43:28] Rhys Mitchell: [00:43:28] for joining a gang.
[00:43:31] Josh Janssen: [00:43:31] No guys. I seriously though. Enjoy, um, enjoy tuna sandwich, please take one away. Also the pickles Murray. I know you love the pineapple pickles, so take some of them as well.
[00:43:40] Maria Angelico: [00:43:40] I feel very taken care of.
[00:43:42] Josh Janssen: [00:43:42] Um, great. I'm glad. And, uh, that's screenplay Sunday for another day. Uh, this is episode eight, we're going to 10. So we've only got two more. What
[00:43:51] could
[00:43:51] Josh Janssen: [00:43:51] possibly happen in the next two weeks? You'll have to find out, uh, by listening. Uh, we'll we'll catch you. Uh, we'll catch you another time.
[00:43:59] Bye guys.
[00:44:00] [00:44:00] Rhys Mitchell: [00:44:00] Thank you so much. Thank
[00:44:03] Maria Angelico: [00:44:03] you.
